Is this the hepatitis B titre test employers ask for?
Yes. Proof of immunity to hepatitis B is commonly required for healthcare employment, academic placements and some travel, and to confirm your response after vaccination. Your result is sent as a PDF report you can forward.
How soon after exposure can I test?
It depends on the infection. A 4th-generation HIV test is reliable from about 45 days after exposure; syphilis blood tests from about 6 weeks; hepatitis B surface antigen from a few weeks. Testing earlier can miss a recent infection, so if you may have been exposed recently, test now and repeat after the window period. If you think you were exposed to HIV in the last 72 hours, go to a sexual health clinic or A&E about PEP today.
Are sexual health test results confidential?
Yes. Your results are sent only to the email address you give us, and we do not share them with your GP or anyone else unless you ask us to.
